The Better Together Update we announced at E3 2017 is designed to unify the console, mobile and Windows 10 PC versions of the game under one single Minecraft edition, which will include infinite worlds, the community Marketplace and community servers (which are coming to the beta later on!). It’ll introduce cross-platform support, allowing console, Windows 10 PC and mobile Minecrafters to play together for the first time! The Better Together Update also brings the biggest collection of new features ever to players on Bedrock Engine platforms (Windows 10, mobile), including the very long awaited and much in demand stained glass, fireworks, PARROTS THAT DANCE, customizable banners, armor stands, jukebox and music discs, recipe book and ravines. And for Windows 10 PC versions, integration with Paint 3D and Remix3D.com, making it easy to export and share 3D creations and inspire others.
Who can participate? Players on Windows 10 PC, Android and soon Xbox One are welcome to jump into cross-platform play with other beta testers across all three devices.
Xbox One and Windows 10 PC beta testers will need to have downloaded the Xbox Insider app, and players on Xbox One will need to own a digital version of Minecraft. Beta testers on Android will need to have devices that support Google Play and own a copy of the game purchased through the Google Play Store.

We’ll be tweeting, live streaming and sharing news and content via social media – Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, Mixer, etc, most often using the hashtag #XboxGC. Head over to Xbox Wire for a rundown of everything that’s happening throughout the week. See you there!
Mixer is the only next-gen live game streaming service that offers viewers real-time influence and participation in game streams. Mixer’s streaming protocol delivers content with less than one second of latency. It makes game streams so fast and clear, that it’s a refreshing surprise to both streamers and viewers—almost like they’re in the same room! Here’s how to get started with Mixer:
To view Mixer content from your PC, simply navigate to Mixer.com.
Featured streams are available right from the homepage, or you can sort streams by game using the “Games” menu on the left-hand side of the homepage.
While you’re there, consider logging in with your Microsoft account so that you can start earning sparks when you view Mixer streams across both Windows and Xbox One devices. Sparks are in-app currency you use to interact with streamers in ways they’ve setup (like soundboards!).
To log in to Mixer with your Microsoft Account:
Click “Log In” in the top right corner of the window.
In the Log In menu, select “Log in with Your Microsoft Account”
In the popup, complete the log in steps using your Microsoft account and password.
You should now see your Microsoft account profile photo in the top right corner of the Window.
To start broadcasting a Mixer stream of your own:
Launch a game.
Press Windows logo key + G on your Windows 10 PC to open the Game bar.
Press the Broadcast button to choose how you want your broadcast to look.
Press Start broadcasting to broadcast your game.
To set more detailed settings for your future broadcasts, select the Start button, then Settings > Gaming > Broadcasting. Additional settings can be accessed by visiting your channel on Mixer.com.
Enable Video on Demand (VoD) for your streaming sessions:
A Video on Demand (VoD) is a recording of a previous stream that is automatically saved on Mixer. VoD recording must be enabled with the “Keep recordings [VoDs] of my streams” option on your “Manage Channel” page of Mixer.com before your stream starts for the VoD to be saved (VoD recording is disabled by default).
In a web browser, navigate to Mixer.com and log in.
Click your profile photo in the top right, then click on “Manage Channel” in the menu.
Select the button for “Keep recordings (VoDs) of my streams” in the preferences menu.
Once enabled, any broadcast longer than 5 minutes will be automatically saved as a VoD.

It has been a very long road to release since we started development on Everspacemore than two years ago, and it’s hard to believe the day is finally upon us. Truly an exciting time for everyone here at Rockfish Games and for space game enthusiasts. The greatest addition coming with the full release is the long-awaited campaign, including missions, cinematic flashbacks, and fully-voiced cutscenes (in English and German) with text localization available for more than 10 languages including French, Chinese, and Spanish.
As all players who have played Everspace in Game Preview have already experienced, the hero finds himself clueless in the cockpit of a space fighter at the beginning of the game. After completing basic pilot training, the peculiar onboard AI provides sometimes useful contextual information about the game world and its lore. Now in the full version, you’ll gradually unveil the mystery behind the hero’s existence and your mission through character encounters and cinematic memory flashbacks.
In the completely revamped final sector, you must survive an all-new boss fight that will provide the last piece of the campaign puzzle. But this will not be the end of the game. There’s still an important objective to accomplish to reach the final destination of your journey — no more spoilers beyond this point!
For the full release, you can also look forward to a great set of Achievements and some further surprises that we got up our sleeves. So look for Everspace if you’re up for a narrative-driven roguelike space shooter in a procedurally-generated universe full of surprises, and head over to Xbox Wire to learn more!
