Hi I’ve not registered the card, I have the invoice/proof of order on Amazon.
When you say others have gone for less, do you have any examples? I’d be open to a slight adjustment, but if we’re talking of a price beginning with 4 then I’d probably just keep it and buy a new case and motherboard. It’s just easier for me to replace the GPU as opposed to a new build.
The only reason I want to sell is because the card is really heating up my case, I have an NVME m.2 just above and the temps are crazy with the gpu in place. I’ve removed the GPU and the temps drop by 15 degrees on the m.2 and CPU. I’m not sure why I didn’t bother buying a reference card in the first place.
There’s no coil whine that I’ve noticed and I’m fussy with regards to noise. I’ve actually been impressed by the noise of the fans, they’re really quiet and don’t have an annoying pitch to them. The loudest thing in my case is the PSU, it’s terrible with a really loud fan, it’s why I’ve not bothered with AIO as the pump buzzing drives me crazy, so I’ve used only Noctua fans and there are no screws in place at all, I’ve used the Noctua NA-SAV2 mounts to remove any possible case vibration.
But I’d be happy for any test/benchmark to be carried out and inspection so buyer can be satisfied, e.g loading up a game with the frame rate unlocked.
One thing I would say though is that I game with V-Sync at 60hz, so not sure if there’s coil whine at higher fps, and I’ve not come across any games with the fps unlocked on menu screens etc as pretty much every card will whine when the fps is in the hundreds on a menu screen.
Noise is always open to interpretation as different people have different hearing, ambient noise, different cases, and more importantly tolerance levels. If you’re local you’re more than welcome to test yourself.
