I have for sale this ASRock DeskMini 300 full build
All parts were purchased 24/01/2020 (except for the Silicon Power M.2 NVME which was purchased ) and can provide the receipts for warranty purposes.
Everything is boxed as new.
So the first questions is why am I selling it if it is only a few days old…?
Well, put simply Intel chips have something called Intel Quick Sync which helps with hardware transcoding with Plex. Not that the AMD APU’s cannot transcode (they can) its just that the Intels are better ar it for HEVC and 265. I didn’t do my due diligence and purchased the wrong setup!
As a 264 transcoder the AMD’s are fine. It will do 265 and HVEC transcodes, but the Intel chips are allegedly quicker at it. I’ve got an i9 9700 on its way, so we will see
I could send it all back but would end up encountering a restocking fee, so I may as well sell it on to someone who can use it.
So the build consists of…
Asrock DeskMini 300 barebones (takes up to 32GB and Ryzen 5 3400G)
Ryzen 3 3200G
2 x 8GB Hyper X 2666 Memory
Silicon Power 256GB M.2 NVME
Asrock Wifi Module Kit – (I had to pay extra for this as it is not included with the DeskMini as standard)
Asrock USB 2 kit – (I had to pay extra for this as it is not included with the DeskMini as standard)
Asrock 3.5″ Audio adaptor kit – (I had to pay extra for this as it is not included with the DeskMini as standard)
Windows 10 Pro installed and activated
This thing will also accept 2 x 2.5″ drives, whether that be SSD or mechanical, and as it stands is a capable gaming machine due to the Ryzen 3 3200G. It can also handle the Ruzen 5 3400G giving you room for expansion.
It will also accept another M.2 NVME if you wanted to upgrade the hard drive space this way too.
See the images to get an idea of the size of this thing… (3.5″ HDD included in images just for size comparison and is not included in the sale)
