Here is my trusty 256gb Transcend JetDrive Lite 130, purchased a couple of years ago. Was full of media, but accessed rarely. Only selling because I have upgraded to a 2017 MacBook Pro. I’d keep it if the MacBook Pro had an SD card slot it would fit in.
Transcend’s JetDrive Lite 130 expansion card allows you to give your MacBook Air’s available storage space a BIG boost with ease. If it were not for these cards, you would have to buy an expensive second hand uncommon type of SSD and take your precious MacBook Air apart to fit it, and re-install MacOS. Trust me, I know… I upgraded my 128gb MacBook Air to 256gb with a second hand SSD at great expense and difficulty, before I found this. Keeping the original SSD and using a big expansion card is far more cost effective.
It’s really neat – sits almost flush – so close to flush it’s tricky to take out if you bite your fingernails! It’s basically a special shortened SDHC memory card that is just the right length for the 2010-2015 MacBook Air.
