For Sale – MacBook Pro – Pristine Condition With AppleCare+ & Case

Weekend bump and price drop – open to sensible offers too by the way. This was £2,500 brand new just over a year ago and has warranty until July 2022 so I think the price for that and the mint condition it is in, (both cosmetically and such little wear on the battery), is fair but can certainly be discussed.

WATCH: Hackathons show teen girls the potential for AI – and themselves – AI for Business

This summer, young women in San Francisco and Seattle spent a weekend taking their creative problem solving to a whole new level through the power of artificial intelligence. The two events were part of a Microsoft-hosted AI boot-camp program that started last year in Athens, then broadened its reach with events in London last fall and New York City in the spring. Check out the wrap-up video from the three U.S. events:

YouTube Video

“I’ve been so impressed not only with the willingness of these young women to spend an entire weekend learning and embracing this opportunity, but with the quality of the projects,” said Didem Un Ates, one of the program organizers and a senior director for AI within Microsoft. “It’s just two days, but what they come up with always blows our minds.” (Read a LinkedIn post from Un Ates about the events.)

The problems these girls tackled aren’t kid stuff: The girls chose their weekend projects from among the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, considered to be the most difficult and highest priority for the world.

The result? Dozens of innovative products that could help solve issues as diverse as ocean pollution, dietary needs, mental health, acne and climate change. Not to mention all those young women – 129 attended the U.S. events – who now feel empowered to pursue careers to help solve those problems. They now see themselves as “Alice,” a mascot created by the project team to represent the qualities young women possess that lend themselves to changing the world through AI.

Organizers plan to broaden the reach of these events, so that girls everywhere can learn about the possibility of careers in technology.

Gears 5 Versus Multiplayer Tech Test Now Open to All Xbox Live Gold Members – Xbox Wire

The Gears 5 Versus Tech Test began last weekend, inviting both those players who have pre-ordered Gears 5 and Xbox Game Pass members to rev up their Lancers and roadie run through their opponents on the way to victory. Thanks to the incredible Gears fans, both new and veteran, who made our initial Gears 5 Versus Tech Test weekend a smashing success. This weekend we’re extending the invitation to join the action to all Xbox Live Gold members as part of Xbox Live Free Play Days this weekend.

Starting at 10 a.m. PDT tomorrow, COG hopefuls who are new to the Gears 5 fight can enlist in the Boot Camp training mode and then jump right into Arcade, the new game type designed for over-the-top fun. If you’re returning for another round following last week’s Tech Test, be sure to check out fan-favorite King of the Hill, the updated competitive game type Escalation and continue your Tour of Duty, a series of challenges that grant sweet rewards. A new reward has also been added – the Wreath Bloodspray, which can be earned by completing one match during the Tech Test from 5:30 – 6:30 pm PDT on Friday, July 26. No matter your level of Gears familiarity, Gears 5 offers a game type for you.

To ensure you’re ready for battle, search the Microsoft Store for Gears 5 Tech Test and download to your library. The Tech Test is available for download right now, but servers will be offline until tomorrow at 10 a.m. PDT. We also wanted to remind you that online multiplayer will require Xbox Live Gold for Xbox Game Pass for Console members, and that because this Tech Test is to help test our servers, you might encounter some queueing as you start to play. We hope to make Gears 5 a great online experience for all players and Xbox Game Pass members on launch, and this Tech Test will help.

Thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you online! Be sure to visit www.gears5.com and follow @GearsofWar on Facebook and Twitter to keep up-to-date with the latest on Gears 5 ahead of its worldwide launch on September 10.

Gears 5 will release on September 10 for Xbox One, Windows 10 PC and Xbox Game Pass. Early access starts on September 6 for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members and Gears 5 Ultimate Edition purchasers. Pre-order details can be found on the Microsoft Store.

The Gears Pro Circuit and Halo Championship Series Unite July 13-15 – Xbox Wire

This weekend, two of Xbox’s most legendary franchises converge in New Orleans for a unique, crossover esports event. From Friday, July 13 to Sunday, July 15 at the New Orleans Convention Center, Major League Gaming (MLG), The Coalition and 343 Industries will host simultaneous standalone tournaments for the Gears Pro Circuit and Halo Championship Series, where the best players from both franchises compete for separate, $250,000 prize pools.

Featuring hundreds of players, two main stages, multiple feature stations and two open brackets, the joint tournament is sure to feature non-stop spectacle for fans of both franchises. The competition kicks of this Friday at 4 p.m. PDT/2 p.m. CDT, streaming live on live.gearsofwar.com, Mixer.com/Halo, Twitch.tv/Halo, Twitter and Facebook. If you’re interested in attending in-person, spectator tickets are still available online or onsite during the event.

This Gears Pro Circuit event is one of the most anticipated in the program’s history. Ghost Gaming claimed their first Gears Pro Circuit title last month in Las Vegas, putting the entire scene on notice. Heavyweights OpTic Gaming and Echo Fox have both retooled their rosters in response, hoping to recapture their early-season dominance in New Orleans.

Coming off the million-dollar Halo World Championship 2018 Finals in Seattle, New Orleans marks the next chapter in the storied Halo esports legacy. As the first event of the new Halo Championship Series season, pro Halo squads are raring to get back onto the battlefield. Powerhouses like TOX Gaming and newly-crowned Splyce look to continue their run of dominance, but will have to contend with exciting variables like new settings, Forge maps and the introduction of Oddball in Halo 5: Guardians play. These new additions promise to add intrigue to a jam-packed New Orleans event, with new contenders looking to threaten the throne.

In addition to the main festivities, there will be a $5,000 Halo 5: Guardians Free-For-All tournament available for anyone on site in New Orleans at no extra cost. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. PDT/12 p.m. CDT on Saturday, July 14, with the final match played on main stage on Sunday, July 15. Whether you’re a spectator, Halo player or even a Gears player, you can register and enter the fray this weekend!

Players looking to jump into the action themselves can check out the Gears and Halo sale in the Microsoft Store from July 13-19, offering Gears of War 4 for $19.99, Halo 5: Guardians for $14.99 and a bundle featuring both titles for $34.99. Additionally, Gears players will have the chance to earn free in-game weapon skins throughout the weekend simply for tuning in and watching at live.gearsofwar.com.

Visit www.gears.gg and follow @EsportsGears on Twitter to keep up-to-date with Gears Pro Circuit. For all the latest on the Halo Championship Series, keep your browsers locked to Halo.gg and follow @HCS and @Halo on Twitter.
